Ho ho freaking ho. Devart removed my Twilight Blows cover due to copyright violation.

Okay, look, I'm sorry if I broke some laws. I meant no disrespect to whoever created the magazine cover, and I did not mean to claim it as my own: in fact, I'm quite sure I never gave the impression in my artist comment that I had made the original at all. It belonged to Entertainment Weekly.

However, I did edit it for satirical purposes. I was under the impression that copyright laws allowed the use of copyrighted material for satirical purposes as long as the orginial source was credited.

Now, I can't remember whether I credited Entertainment Weekly with the cover, but I'm pretty sure I did. And the cover I made was blatantly for satirical purposes - I have no love for Twilight, and I am happy to make fun of it.
So Deviant Art staff, I apologize. I did not mean offense and I did not mean to be illeagal. I did not mean to rip off Entertainment Weekly. However, I think that I had the right to post that picture up. It was meant for humourous purposes.
